DESCRIPTION:Join us for a discussion and tour at 36 Amber Drive\, eight new townhouses by Habitat for Humanity in San Francisco's Diamond Heights neighborhood. These homes are exclusively for low-income families\, offering 100% affordable ownership. Families contribute substantial effort in the construction of their homes through the Habitat model\, ensuring a hands-on and fulfilling homeownership experience. \nA  brief presentation  will cover elements of the tour including an overview of the project\, design elements and creative process. \nProject Architect: Kerman-Morris | Developer: Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco \n\n\n\n	Presenters \n\n\n\nMaureen Sedonaen is the Chief Executive Officer of Habitat Greater San Francisco\, serving Marin\, San Mateo\, and San Francisco Counties. Over the last 7 years\, she has overseen incredible pipeline growth and increased mission impact across the organization as they build\, preserve\, finance and advocate for affordable homeownership. An inspiring and strategic leader with an extraordinarily successful history leading in both the non-profit and social impact private sector\, Maureen has served in executive leadership roles for over 3 decades. She was the Founder\, President\, and CEO of the Youth Leadership Institute. In that role she worked with hundreds of communities\, foundations\, and organizations throughout the U.S. and internationally on effective and transformative youth leadership\, philanthropy\, civic engagement\, and hundreds of successful policy initiatives. \nAbout Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco\nHabitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco builds homes and sustains affordable homeownership opportunities for families in Marin\, San Francisco\, and San Mateo counties. Our values focus on building partnerships\, equity\, stability\, and legacy. \n\n\n\n\n\nElizabeth (“Biz”) Kerman-Morris\, AIA/LEED AP founded the studio after graduating in Architecture from UC Berkeley and practicing for several years as SF Heritage’s lead architect\, using CDBG grants to restore Victorians for low-income seniors. Biz leads KMA’s design studio\, working closely with staff to craft functional and beautiful units and welcoming common spaces\, with a focus on the end user’s experience of “home.” \nEdward (“Toby”) Morris\, AIA/LEED AP holds dual master’s degrees from UC Berkeley in City Planning/Housing Development and Architecture. His research included assessing the development capacity SF Bay Area non-profit developers to address the critical affordable housing demand. Toby joined Biz in 1994\, working on SRO rehabilitations. As Managing Principal at KMA\, Toby has escorted countless projects through SF Planning Department’s labyrinth of review\, neighborhood input\, and Commission approvals. \nAbout Kerman Morris Architects \nKMA is a small LBE/WBE architectural firm with 27 years of experience designing and developing housing in San Francisco. With projects ranging from single-family additions to market-rate mixed-use multi-family projects with inclusionary housing\, to 100% affordable family\, senior and SRO projects\, the firm principals take pride in crafting infill projects in San Francisco’s vibrant neighborhoods that contribute positively to the local culture and the aesthetic characteristics of the setting. 36 Amber Drive is KMA’s first collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Greater SF. Toby and Biz are active members of YIMBY and HAC\, and supporters of “Housing for All\, Anytime\, Everywhere.”
