Event Description

Mingle with students and colleagues at the AIA East Bay Headquarters housed in the LEED-Platinum rated Brower Center for a lively evening in support of Latinx students at UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design. The goal of the evening is to raise a minimum of $10,000 for the CASA Alumni Scholarship Fund . The program will include introductions from Roy Hernandez, founding member of CASA and of the scholarship program; Ronald Rael, Professor of Architecture, U.C. Berkeley's College of Envirommental Design (CED), and short presentations from current CASA students. This is a great opportunity to connect and support the next generation of design professionals. Drinks and a light fare will be provided.

CASA Alumni Scholarship

Since its inception in 2011, CASA Alumni has disbursed over $120,000 in need-based scholarships, equipment and internships to 80+ students at UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design.

AIASF Latinx in Architecture Committee (LiA)

Formed as an AIASF Committee in 2013, LiA's mission is to serve and support Bay Area Latinx design professionals by strengthening our networks, promoting professional development, and providing mentorship opportunities. We seek to bring awareness of Latinx culture and design through educational and community-oriented programs.
